Unless you truly trust and know the contractor you’ve called over, be prudent! Ask yourself a common sense question: shouldn’t a quality painting service have other customers lined up, that they could in theory move up in the queue? Beyond that, is it possible that said costumer/consumer discovered something about this contractor that you too, should be concerned about? As they say, the devil is in the details…. And finally, if you don’t know exactly who is doing the work, be sure to ask, is it YOU who is available? Or a friend, or a subcontractor? What is the business model being used, and what variables are you being exposed to. Anyone can say “we can start tomorrow” and likely find a warm body to pretend to paint. That is not a good situation!
