Charged Estimate Versus Free Estimates; General Project Types

Colorwheel reserves the right to charge for estimates; any said charges are fully disclosed and agreed upon in writing before a billed/charged appointment is established.  In no event will Colorwheel appear for an estimate and try to charge for it unless previously arranged.  That said, we reserve the right to charge for weekend estimates, evening estimates, estimates generally out of our service area, and estimates for exterior jobs less than $2000 in value and interior projects less than $1000 in value.  For the jobs respectively under $2000 and $1000 price points, a service call and hourly rate is the basis for billing.

Insurance Loss Estimates & Vendor Damage/Backcharge Estimates

Colorwheel Painting, LLC does not offer free estimates for insurance related losses, or backcharging to other vendors.  Colorwheel requires a $250 retainer, for which Colorwheel will provide the following:

• On-site consultation/examination
• Fully typed proposal citing loss areas, description of damage, and all actions needed to rememdy the damage

This $250 retainer is applied toward the balance of any contract entered into with Colorwheel Painting to perform the services.
